Kirk Peterson, R.Ph
President and CEO
Kirk joined Drug Crafters in 2012. Under Kirk’s leadership Drug Crafters has become one of the most well-respected compounding pharmacies in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Creating a reputation for compounding excellence and customer service excellence, Kirk has moved Drug Crafters to service 19 states with more coming soon. Kirk received his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Texas. In addition, Kirk has a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Texas Tech University. Prior to joining Drug Crafters, Kirk has spent most of his career leading long-term care nursing home corporations, managing pharmacy services and negotiating contracts for large chain nursing homes. Kirk and his wife live in Little Elm, TX. They have four grown kids and he enjoys fishing and hiking.
Erin Thomson, Pharm D
Pharmacist in Charge and Quality Assurance Manager
Erin joined Drug Crafters in 2013 and leads the day to day operation of our pharmacy team. Prior to Drug Crafters, Erin spent 7 years working for a national pharmacy chain. Erin is immunization certified, as well as sterile pharmaceutical compounding certified. Erin is passionate about working with patients and doctors to improve each patient’s overall health. Her passion for collaboration defines the culture she has created across all departments. Erin received her doctor of pharmacy degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She lives in Prosper, TX with her husband and their two children. Erin loves spending time with her family and friends, sports, outdoor activities and reading.
EVP of Business Development
Lawrence joined Drug Crafters in 2020 to lead all sales and marketing initiatives. Prior to joining the Drug Crafters team, Lawrence worked in a sales and marketing leadership role at the largest privately held specialty pharmacy. Under Lawrence’s leadership, this organization built a 503b outsourcing facility which became a category leader serving private practices, surgery centers and hospitals. Lawrence negotiated and managed contracts with a major hospital system and national GPO’s. In addition, Lawrence has held leadership positions with companies focused in the both nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries. He resides with his family in Scottsdale, AZ.
Patrick Cason, Pharm D
Sterile Lab Manager
Patrick has been at Drug Crafters since 2018. Prior to joining the Drug Crafters team, Patrick worked in the Veterinary compounding field. He is licensed in ten states and currently working to become Board Certified in Sterile Compounding. Patrick is focused on the quality assurance of our compounded sterile products and serves as a liaison for doctor clinics regarding the safe use and administration of medications. He graduated from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his daughter and resides in Frisco, TX.
Payal Patel, Pharm D, IFMCP
Non-Sterile Lab Manager and Functional Medicine Pharmacist
Prior to joining Drug Crafters in 2013, Payal owned and operated an independent compounding pharmacy. She has been practicing pharmacy for over 20 years. In addition to her extensive experience compounding, Payal has been involved with hematology, oncology, infusion therapy and home health care, and retail pharmacy. Payal is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner with the Institute of Functional Medicine. She frequently attends educational seminars focusing on Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement, Nutrition, Functional Medicine and Compounding. She is passionate about nutrition, providing patient education, and spreading awareness about functional and integrative medicine. Payal earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy at the University of Texas. She resides with her husband and two daughters in Frisco, TX.
